HUSAR #14

In the 14th issue of Husar we wrote about the captured British tanks used by the German military in WWI, the Battle of Lepanto that was the last major engagement in Europe to be fought with the galleys and galleasses, and we also wrote about the Yom Kippur War (part 2  – part 1 can be found in Husar #13), also known as the Ramadan War. It is called Yom Kippur or Ramadan War because the war began in 1973 when the Arab coalition launched a surprise attack on Israeli on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism, which also occurred that year during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
